Leamington Flyers Partner With Sun County Panthers

LEAMINGTON, ONTARIO – The Leamington Flyers are excited to announce a new partnership with Sun County Panthers AAA Minor Hockey.

It is another step in what has been a blossoming relationship between the two programs and creates a pipeline for young players in our area who are looking for a full developmental experience throughout their hockey careers.

Working together, the Flyers will provide on and off ice mentoring and development of players and coaches, along with organization assistance to help keep the Panthers organization among the best programs in the province.

By entering into this agreement, the Flyers and Panthers are equally committed to attracting and retaining top athletes throughout Essex County and beyond.

“The Flyers are committed to developing young, local players as it only leads to great things for our organization,” states Leamington General Manager, Justin Solcz. “The more local players we assist with development, the better our teams will be in the future.”

“We are committed to both player and coach development, and assisting both groups in movement beyond minor hockey,” Sun County Vice President of Hockey, Ryan Coristine agrees. “This type of relationship further enhances the potential for those opportunities, and we’re excited to be a part of it.’

The Leamington Flyers have had great success helping players along their path to the Ontario Hockey League, NCAA and CIS and the NHL and the club is looking forward to continuing to grow the Sun County Panthers organization into one of the top programs in the province.

Currently, the Flyers have 8 Sun County graduates on their roster; Koen Taves, Ryan MacPherson, Connor MacPherson, Boe Piroski, Connor McCracken, Nolan McKibbin, Seth Martineau and Colton O’Brien and the team looks forward to continuing to strengthen this connection with this announcement.
