Hot Streak Lifts Flyers Into First Place

LEAMINGTON, ONTARIO – After a perfect week, extending their winning streak to five games, the Leamington Flyers now sit atop the GOJHL’s Western Conference.

The team scored victories in both games of a home and home series against the St. Thomas Stars before completing the weekend with a 6-1 win over the Sarnia Legionnaires on Sunday afternoon.

Ryan MacPherson had two goals and an assist, while Seth Martineau and Gabe Piccolo chipped in with two assists each. Ryan Polidori stopped 23 of 24 shots for his sixth victory of the season, tied for most in
the province.

During this five game run, Leamington has outscored their opponents 19-6. The Flyers have also won four straight at the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre, where they will play their next game on Thursday, October 28th against the Strathroy Rockets. Puck drop is 7:10pm and it’s also the team’s annual Pink In The Rink Night.

Tickets will be available at the door. All spectators entering the facility will be required to show proof of double vaccination, as per GOJHL and Municipality of Leamington regulations.
