Four Flyers Named To Top Prospects And Future Stars Game

The Leamington Flyers will be well represented next weekend in Waterloo, when four members of the team take part in the annual GOJHL Top Prospects and Future Stars games.

The Future Stars Game will take place at 12pm on Saturday, December 28 at the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex, followed by the Prospects Game at 3pm.

The Futures Game will feature the best 16 year olds in the league and will include Flyers forward, Nicolas Beneteau on Team McClement. Beneteau has 9 goals and 13 assists in 34 games as a rookie in Leamington.

The Top Prospects contest matches the best 17 and 18 year olds against each other. Goaltender, Ryan Polidori, defenseman, Kobe Seguin and forward Adam Jeffery will don the Leamington logo for the event.

Polidori is rocking an 11-4-1 record with a 2.61 goals against average and 0.893 save percentage. Seguin has been a staple on the blueline for the Flyers in his 24 games with the club and adding three goals and seven assists along the way. And Jeffrey, an assistant captain, is a point-per-game performer this season with 10 goals and 22 assists for 32 points in 31 games.

The Leamington Flyers finish up the 2019 portion of their schedule at home tomorrow, December 22nd, against the Sarnia Legionnaires at 2:00pm. It’s also a Domino’s Pizza Game so your ticket will also get you a free slice of pizza at the game.
