Former Flyer, Jeffrey Commits To D1 Hockey Program

LEAMINGTON, ONTARIO – The Leamington Flyers would like to congratulate and acknowledge alum, Adam Jeffrey as he commits to the Rochester Institute of Technology to play D1 hockey next season.

Jeffrey spent two seasons with the Flyers, suiting up in 97 games, while tallying 39 goals and 58 assists, for 97 points. He tacked on six goals and four assists in 10 playoff games in Leamington.

“I’m very excited about making this jump to the next level,” Jeffrey says. “I chose to further my education/hockey career at RIT because of the outstanding culture surrounding their school, much like the atmosphere in Leamington.”

“This is a dream come true.”

The Leamington native is currently playing in the BCHL with the Cowichan Valley Capitals.

“We want to congratulate Adam and his family, he was our first recruit when we took over the program 4 years ago,” Flyers General Manager, Justin Solcz explains. “Adam exemplifies the type of people we want in our program and through his hard work and determination was able to follow the development path to achieve his goals.”

Adam joins Zach Borgiel (Merrimack) as the second Leamington Flyer to commit to a D1 program in the last three years.

“The Leamington Flyers organization helped me mature as a player and as a person,” Jeffrey states. “Both the coaching and management took their time with me and gave me great guidance. Everyone there knew what I needed to get to the next level and provided me with all the tools to get there.”

The Flyers next home game will be Thursday, November 25th when they host the LaSalle Vipers. Pick drop is 7:10pm.

Tickets will be available at the door. All spectators entering the facility will be required to show proof of double vaccination, as per GOJHL and Municipality of Leamington regulations.
