For the first time in franchise history, the Leamington Flyers are in the Sutherland Cup Finals.
Leamington advanced to the Sutherland Cup Finals with a come from behind 5-2 victory over the Hamilton Kilty B’s on Sunday night.
The Flyers will face off against the Stratford Warriors, who will have home ice advantage after winning the round robin portion of the series.
The teams played each other twice in the round robin with the road team winning both games and Leamington outscoring the Warriors 7-3 in the two contests.
Trevor LaRue had two goals and an assist against Stratford in the round robin, while Ryan MacPherson had a goal and three helpers.
