LEAMINGTON, ON – The wait is almost over.
The Leamington Flyers are ready to bring the action back to home ice when they host the Burlington Cougars for their 2026–27 home opener on Thursday, September 10th at the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre. Puck drop is set for 7:10 p.m.
Opening night marks the beginning of a new chapter in Leamington, with a strong group of returning players back in red and white and new faces ready to make their mark.
From the first faceoff, fans can expect the speed, intensity, and hard-fought hockey that has become a staple of the Flyers’ game. The Flyers will look to start strong and make an early statement on home ice.
Training camp is now underway, as the team comes together and builds toward the start of the season. With September 10th quickly approaching, the excitement continues to grow.
“We’re always excited for that first game back in Leamington,” said Dale Mitchell, General Manager and Head Coach. “There’s a different energy when you step onto home ice in front of our fans. Our guys are hungry, and we’re looking forward to showing everyone what this group is capable of.”
The Burlington Cougars will provide the first test of the season, setting the stage for a fast-paced matchup and an electric opening night in Leamington.
