Leamington, ON – The Leamington Flyers are partnering with two local organizations, Lola’s Pajama Fairy Project and Leamington Area Toys 4 Tots, for a special Toss Night on Wednesday, December 11th during their home game against the Burlington Cougars at the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre.
Fans are encouraged to bring a new pair of pajamas in a sealed bag for donation (baby, kids or adult sizes). When the Flyers score their first goal of the game, the crowd will be invited to toss their pajamas onto the ice, creating a memorable moment while supporting families in need this holiday season.
The donations collected will help Lola’s Pajama Fairy Project provide comfort and care to children and adults across the community. Since its start in 2017, the project has grown each year and now supports hundreds of local families by delivering cozy pajamas to those who need them most during the winter season.
This game will also feature the annual Teddy Bear Toss, a long-standing fan favourite. Supporters are encouraged to bring a new stuffed teddy bear and send it onto the ice after the Flyers score their first goal. All teddy bears collected will be donated to Leamington Area Toys 4 Tots, which delivers holiday gifts to children in our community.
“Both the PJ Toss and Teddy Bear Toss mean a lot to our organization,” said General Manager and Head Coach Dale Mitchell. “Seeing our community come together for two important causes is something we look forward to every year. It is a night that reflects the heart of Leamington.”
Puck drop is at 7:10 p.m. Tickets are available on game day at the door or online here.
