LEAMINGTON, ONTARIO – For the second year in the row, the Leamington Flyers have earned the Stan Moore Trophy for the best regular season record in the GOJHL’s
Western Conference.
The Flyers ended the 2022-23 regular season with a 35-11-4-0 record, topping the conference with 74 points. Leamington will now set their sights on the playoffs, with their opening round matchup against the Sarnia Legionnaires.
The Flyers finished 5-1 against Sarnia in the regular season, outscoring the Legionnaires 39-18. Adrian Bosev paced the Flyers with six goals in the season series, including a hat trick in their post recent matchup on February 11th.
Connor MacPherson had three goals and five assists in those contests, while Boe Piroski picked up three wins in net.
